Arranging tips
- Combine flowers of different heights and shapes for a lively bouquet.
- Use cut foliage as filler between the flowers for extra volume.
- Choose a vase that suits the stem length: tall flowers in a tall vase, short stems in a low bowl.
- One type of flower in large numbers (a mono bouquet) looks surprisingly chic and modern.
Position & placement
- Don’t put the vase in full sun or close to a radiator.
- Keep flowers away from fruit bowls: ripening fruit releases ethylene gas, which makes flowers wilt faster.
- A cool, draught-free spot extends their vase life the most.
Care tips
- Cut the stems at an angle before putting them in the vase, so they absorb water better.
- Change the water every 2 to 3 days and give the vase a quick rinse.
- Use the flower food provided for a longer vase life.
- Remove wilted flowers and any leaves below the waterline in good time.
