Arranging, positioning & care

Practical tips for spring.

Arranging tips

  • Start clearing weeds and fallen leaves from your borders in good time.
  • This is the ideal time to create new borders or extend existing ones.

Position & placement

  • Only put patio plants outside once there is really no more risk of night frost.
  • Give young plants a sheltered spot against late spring winds.

Care tips

  • Give the border a spring boost with compost or organic manure.
  • Prune winter damage out of shrubs before the new growth starts.
  • Keep on top of the first weeds early; it saves work later in the season.
